Thursday 1st December - I Am Harlequin @ Proud, Camden Town, London is
Epic pop music defined by progressive structures, quirky lyrics and innovativearrangements. I am Harlequin music is essentially what she refers to as Pop-Indie ‘Einschlag’ (‘impact’) with an electronic edge.
Influences range from classical music, to the advanced choir arrangements in Stephen Sondheim musicals, as well as Kate Bush, Rickie Lee Jones, Grace Slick and Joni Mitchell, whom lead singer and composer Anne Freir grew up listening to. |

Photos from 'Mr. Ears' launch gig on Thursday 17th Dec 2009:
This was a fantastic night- thanks to everyone that came and helped to create such a great vibe! Everyone there saw a great show and all the other members of the group - Tony Woods, Kit Downes, Sagat Guirey, Darren Altman and James Lascelles - were all totally on it. Here are some photos, and you can view videos (including a solo performance of 'White Christmas') on the video page. Enjoy!
